Yesterday, The League of the South conducted a small-unit operation at the site of the Emmett Till memorial plaque on the banks of the Tallahatchie River near Glendora, Mississippi (see the Media section of this website for our video). Eight of us, including Mississippi State Chairman Shaun Winkler, drove for about three hours into the heart of darkness, the rural Mississippi Delta, where just recently black extremists vowed that no “White extremist” would dare set foot. As usual, we got in and out quickly and avoided any trouble from the locals, including law enforcement, but we thought it best to avoid contact with any politically-biased law enforcement or the local legal system. Of course, we broke no laws by simply having our pictures taken at the marker. Over the last year and a half, we have also done similar operations at the Edmund Pettus bridge in Selma, Alabama, and Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas.
