M. E. (Mel) Bradford, the eminent Southern historian and man-of-letters, encouraged his fellow Southerners to remember who we are. Sage advice, for after all, we cannot know much else if we don’t know who we are. And that necessitates that we know whence we come. Our roots. Which stretch all the way back to Adam himself, our earliest earthly sire.
The Marvelous Story of a Particular People
In other words, we go back as far as God’s word, combined with archaeology, history, linguistics, and now the science of genetics, will take us. When we do this, we find the marvelous story of a particular people who would eventually, over space and time, become several distinct ethnic groups—Scythians, Parthians, Cimmerians, Getae, Samartians, Goths, Franks, Vikings, Saxons, and Celts—who eventually became the recognizable nations of Europe (e.g. the French, Germans, English, Spaniards, Scots, Irish, et al). From this noble and accomplished lineage springs the blood of the South. And our ancestors were well aware of all these connections in our collective past.
But since the end of World War Two, our history as Southerners (and Whites in general) has been purposely subverted by those who seek to deracinate us. Once our roots are severed, we will have lost our moorings and eventually our identity. Then, we will cease to be. Only a hateful enemy would seek to obfuscate and subvert a people’s history. An enemy whose goal is the utter and complete destruction of their target—us Southerners, among others.

The War of Northern Aggression
As men of the South, we are well aware of the lies and half-truths regarding the War of Northern Aggression; however, we are often so myopically focused on this four-year conflict that we ignore the fact that most of our history, far back into distant antiquity, has also been reconstructed in order to diminish our roles and accomplishments. In other words, someone is trying very hard to keep us from remembering who we are.
While we have suffered from a lack of knowledge and understanding of who we are, we are not powerless to overcome these deficiencies. But where do we start, especially if our educational system, from grade school to grad school, has been captured by the enemy and turned against us—and it has? My suggestion is to become an autodidact—one who is self-taught. Read and study on your own instead of watching sports ball or playing video games. This is the sort of mindless entertainment the enemy wants you to pursue. We want to help you develop your understanding so you will not be vulnerable to their continuing lies and fabrications.
TSNL Recommended Reading
Therefore, we will be developing a section of this website that will list, with short annotations, books we recommend for your self-education. As a Western man, I first recommend to you Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey and Virgil’s Aeneid. Until the mid-twentieth century, most Western scholars regarded these tales (minus the belief in the Greek pantheon of gods) to have been based on real events and actual historical figures (e.g. Agamemnon, Menelaus, Priam, Achilles, Ajax, Hector, Paris, Aeneas, et al). They are in and of themselves fascinating stories marvelously written. But these works take on an even more important position in the Western canon when we realize that they were telling the heroic story of our people who were dominating the crossroads of the world over 3,000 years ago! I marvel at the number of references Homer makes to blue eyes and other Aryan physical characteristics. Someone out there doesn’t want you to know this, along with myriad other facts and stories about who you really are.
Our Southern and Confederate ancestors were cultured and educated men and women, and they knew their proud lineage and heritage. The stories of classical antiquity were well known to them as the well-spring of their own culture and civilization. That’s why they were willing to shed their blood and the blood of their enemies to preserve their civilization from forces all too dominant in today’s world—the forces of modernity. The calculus of mindless consumption for consumption’s sake, a soulless vacuum into which all rootless peoples fall. A place in which the dollar trumps honor and integrity.

Equip Yourself with the Weapon of Knowledge
An ignorant man cannot be a free man. Do a deep dive into your history and culture, going back as far as Genesis 3:15, when God foreshadowed the fight in which we are currently engaged. Good v. evil. Light v. darkness. Truth v. lies. It’s nothing new. But to fight this battle effectively as the proponents of ordered liberty (as Rev. James Henley Thornwell called us), we must know who we are and remember the exploits and sacrifices of our ancestors, all the way back to Adam himself.
Equip yourselves with the weapon of knowledge and pray that God turns that knowledge to understanding and wisdom. Then we will win.
God Save the South!
